Danny Pang

Coffee Connoisseur, Entrepreneur

A former RSAF regular serving his nation, Danny has had a global career following his tour with the Air Force. At 30, he was thrown in the deep end of the pool in Taiwan, conducting business development and sales operations for a period of more than two years, after which he travelled to Hanoi and Bangkok to assist his company in opening the market there. Blessed in his line of work with the opportunity to travel and meet associates in countries around the world, the experience has deeply opened his mind to different scapes and cultures shaped his style as an individual and an entrepreneur.

A defining point came when Danny joined a global MNC coffee company by the name of Sara Lee / Douwe Egberts in Singapore. Within a short 3 months, he was promoted to drive business development for this company, with directions to develop their business in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. This was the first contact with the beauty of the espresso extraction process, which later grew into a passionate love affair with coffee.

Armed with the drive and hunger to learn and master the craft, Danny chose to pursue coffee making and despite a series of setbacks finally made a name for himself as he was invited to install coffee systems and train 18 hotels in Singapore, including The Pan Pacific Group of Hotels, JW Marriot, Ritz Carlton, InterContinental, The Holiday Inn, Novotel and many others. His greatest satisfaction then and till now - is to see customers returning for the coffee despite the high price tags attached to each cup.

Today, Danny lives with his wonderful and supportive wife and three children. He is also Chief Barista at Espressoul.
